"Wild and Free", the title track of the album, has been performed in many places and danced many times by the talented Gratia Churchill at the annual Kamesko Bersh celebrations in winter solstices past. It expresses the moving theme of love between a tribal ancestor and his/her descendant, as the ancestor calls from the otherworld to their loved one here on earth. It is an expression of the age-old love once shared between ancestor and descendant, knowledge of the difficulties experienced in life and how easy it can be to forget that ancestors are not only beside us, but will be there to meet us when our time here is done.
